New Directions in Law and Literature from Oxford University Press
Oxford University Press has recently published New Directions in Law and Literature, edited by Corpus Juris series editor, Elizabeth S. Anker, and advisory board member Bernadette Meyler. The collection aims to “make sense of where law and literature has been; where it is now; where it might be headed; and what we consider its most urgent challenges and questions.” In addition to a substantive introduction, the volume contains twenty essays by leading figures in the field. Some of the essays explore particular intersections between law and literature (such as copyright and marriage law), while others examine methodological questions in the field, such as the integration of approaches from history and political theory, and the field’s expansion beyond texts.
